A tough opening par 4

Aiming for the right hand side of the fairway avoids the trees on the left and opens up the green.

Running opposite to the first hole this 386 yard par 4 plays shorter than its yardage. However finding the correct level can be a challenge on this three tier green.

The longer you can hit your drive the more fairway you have to play with. Hitting a short iron to the Mackenzie green makes the locating the pin much easier.

Nothing for short here, play safe by aiming for the back of the green.

At 456 yards this is the longest par 4 on the course and stroke index No.1

Play up the left side of the fairway from the tee to avoid the out of bounds tight to the right. Bunkers left and right of the green make an accurate second shot with a fairway wood or long iron a must to find the green.

Watch the flag to check the wind direction as this cannot always be felt on the sheltered tee, With the out of bounds left and the two deep bunkers guarding the back of the green there is nothing for going big here, club selection is vital!

This 248 yard par 4 offers a very realistic birdie opportunity.

If you go for the green from the tee there is more room right of the green than is visible. Lay up shots must be well placed to avoid the fairway bunkers.

A par is well earned on this well defended long par 4.

Avoid the fairway bunkers off the tee to have a chance of a par. A drawn approach to the green takes most of the danger out of play.

The first of back to back par 5's. A birdie will reward good course management.

Favour the left side of the fairway from the tee avoiding the dense copse on the right. The two tier green can make for a difficult approach if the pin is on the upper tier.

The second par 5 in a row offers a generous fairway for the drive but tightens as you near the green.

Choose your yardage carefully for the layup on this hole as a line of fairway bunkers await. A deep pot bunker guards the right of the green so a shot to left is favoured.

This dog-leg right par 4 may not be the longest hole on the course but requires accurate play as it lives up to its stroke index of 4.

Keep your drive down the left to avoid being blocked out from the green by the large trees on the right. Hitting into the prevailing wind on your second shot makes this a difficult green to attack, aim for the slight rise at the green front to help control your approach.

At 306 yards the S.I. 18 11th offers a realistic birdie chance.

Longer hitters will want to go for this green in one. Those laying up beware of the hidden ditch around the 190yd mark, the fairway begins to fall around 170 yards from the tee.

Short par three with a well guarded green. A well struck short iron will give a realistic birdie chance.

Distance control is at a premium here. With the water to carry and four well placed bunkers around the green club selection is vital.

With the sharp dog leg left and a slight incline to the fairway the third of the par 5's plays every bit of its 508 yardage.

A well placed drive into the heart of the fairway sets you up for the second shot. For the longer hitters to have a chance of getting up in two the tiger line off the tee is over the trees on the left of the dog leg.

Finding the fairway is essential as the down hill approach to a narrow well protected green can be tricky. For the longer hitters a shorter approach will make the second shot so much easier but be aware as the fairway bottle necks the copse on the right comes into play.

Arguably the toughest hole on the course. That plays every bit of its 446 yards.

To have any chance of hitting the green in two, finding the fairway is crucial even for the longer hitters. The approach can be a tricky one to a well bunkered small green

Play safe here, aim straight through the middle of the bunkers to find the heart of the green. With its undulating green par is a good number here!

The 18th hole has been the demise of many a good card. With an array of hazards to negotiate. A very tough finishing hole!

Getting a good drive away here is crucial as the approach can be tricky. Pay close attention to the pin placement when playing your approach shot as if you play to the wrong side of the green a three putt may be on the cards.
